While you can always buy a prop Sorting Hat for your Harry Potter party, there are also tons of creative ways that you can do the sorting, especially useful when you're just a lowly Muggle who doesn't have access to a magical talking hat. We're obsessed with these Golden Snitch cereal treats!
We've combined one of the most beloved icons of the Wizarding World, the Quidditch Golden Snitch, and combined it with secretly colored insides to make these rice cereal treats that are cute to look at AND double as a sorting activity for your party guests.
Hogwarts House colors:
- Red: Gryffindor
- Yellow: Huffelpuff
- Blue: Ravenclaw
- Green: Slytherin
The fondant on these instead of dealing with dipped Candymelts makes it much simpler project for kids to help with, and is WAY less messy. It's a great way to help you end up with similarly sized pieces too, since it's so easy to make inconsistent sizes when you're creating the individual balls. This way, you have the fondant circles there to help keep you on track.
