Ladies, meet Manolo

I'm a *huge* shoe geek, people who know me, know this.
I made a list of 100 Things to Do Before I Die.
Right there, number 7, “Own Manolo Blahnik shoes.”

Check.

I decided, when I decided to go with a shorter wedding dress, that this was my chance… quite possibly the only time I'd be really comfortable spending the required money on a pair of shoes.

I'd said, when we were in Vegas last August, that if I won over $500, I'd go to the Manolo store there and buy my shoes. Well, when my nickel pulll struck gold ($842 worth!) I totally wimped out, and ended up spending the money on my September bills. (My mom should be proud! LOL)

But now, I'm planning my wedding and got this crazy idea! I still couldn't justify spending $600 (or more!) on a pair of shoes, so off I went to eBay!
I would scope out all of the size 41 and 42 Manolos, looking for something that struck me just right.

I considered blue, for my “something blue”
I considered green, to match the wedding color.
I considered ivory but decided my feet don't need help looking bigger.

And then I saw them.

Listed by a seller all the way in Australia, but I had to have them.
And now I do!

The fabulous sparkly buckle!

Thanks to those little flowers, these will be my “something blue”

Oh, and mom… Jamie's still taller than me, as long as he stands up straight and my hair isn't too big!
