Advent calendars for the family – Updated for 2020

This post contains affiliate links.

When I was a kid, a chocolate advent calendar was PEAK excitement. We usually got just the plain ones that rewarded us with a bible verse or maybe a line from a poem, but sometimes we got that weird waxy chocolate and we were thrilled. These days, advent calendars are available for everyone in the family, for every interest and fandom. We end up having three or four different ways to track the countdown, because we each want our own special thing for each day! Here are some of our favorites that we've seen this year; don't forget to order early, because a lot of these will sell out!

Hrm. It works for me! Search “Advent Calendar For the Yarn lover, mini skeins, hand dyed yarn” on Etsy and you should be able to find it. The seller is LogHouseCottage.

Hi! Here via one of the NaBloPoMo communities, though I can’t think of which one right offhand. I like the idea of the wine Advent Calendar – I might be able to do something like that with tiny liquor bottles. Though wine works, too!

Just read your about page – I hate that I never got to see or participate in a performance of Listen To Your Mother. Two of my online friends were actually pretty involved with their respective local productions. We never even had one in my town.

My kiddo asked if we could do one of those calendar things this year.

    Uh. Maybe?

    These are some fun ideas!

Welcome, I'm so glad you're here! Thing number one, I'm tall. I've been told I should have a warning on my blog, so here it is! I am taller in real life than I appear on the internet.
