Happy Birthday, Grandma!

Last weekend was Jamie's mom's birthday! She celebrated a milestone birthday this year (meaning it ends in a 0 or a 5) so we had a dinner to help her celebrate.
We had the family and some of Cynthia's oldest friends meet us at the Fish Market, where we ate too much, laughed a lot and generally enjoyed the evening together. Knowing how close we came to losing Cynthia just one year ago makes all of these days that much sweeter for all of us to be together.
Max celebrated the evening with his first piece of crusty sourdough (he's a fan, which is a good thing, since it's one of my and Jamie's most favorite things) and spent most of the evening sitting in a high chair, which was another first for him!

Welcome, I'm so glad you're here! Thing number one, I'm tall. I've been told I should have a warning on my blog, so here it is! I am taller in real life than I appear on the internet.
