My fabulous parents took Max today for me, so I could spend a nice quiet day at home, relaxing and recovering… my dad picked him up here and took him to day care, then my mom picked him up after work. Jamie will go pick Max up late tonight at their house… it's days like today that I couldn't imagine living far away from family!
Anyway, I called my dad this afternoon and asked him to step in as guest photographer for this week's Thursday picture, since he'd actually spend more time with The Boy than me today. He said sure, no problem!
When I talked to him again a couple of hours later, he said he already had his “concept” set up and would shoot it when he got home. Hrmm… what is he up to? I was actually pretty close in my mind, but I expected the aircraft to be my dad's current obsession, his helicopter, not just an airplane!
I know my dad is waiting for bated breath for the day Max sees the planes in the hanger (their garage) and asks Papa to take him out flying… I don't think it'll be this summer, but soon enough, I'm sure!
