As we get closer to the May 31st opening of Star Wars Galaxy's Edge at Disneyland, they're slowly letting little details sneak out, and we finally know what the food options will be, beyond the expected Blue Milk.
While the complete menus have been released, I'm already planning my food and drink for the day, so here are the things I'm most excited to try!
Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo
This appears to be the largest eating establishment in the land, with the most varied menu, including both lunch and dinner-specific options.
I'm planning to order the Fried Endorian Tip-yip, which is crispy chicken served with roasted vegetable potato mash and herb gravy. I'm pretty sure Jamie will go for the Smoked Kaadu Ribs – sticky pork ribs served with a blueberry corn muffin and cabbage slaw, and Max will absolutely order the Yobshrimp Noodle Salad, because there's not much that kid likes more than shrimp. The Noodle Salad features chilled shrimp served with marinated noodles and vegetables.
After we eat that, we'll probably put away an order of the Batuu-bon, a chocolate cake with white chocolate mousse and coffee custard.
YUM.
Oga's Cantina
The Cantina will actually serve cocktails, which is an exciting development for the Disneyland side of the plaza! Thankful that our reservations will allow us to be inside Star Wars Galaxy's Edge at both the beginning and end of the day, I'll probably kick off my day with a Spiran Caf – Peru Alto Mayo Organic Joffrey’s Coffee, orange marmalade, rum, vanilla whipped cream, and citrus zest.
When we return in the evening, I'm pretty sure I'll be overwhelmed by options, because there are so many delicious looking drinks to choose from! Do I want a Bespin Fizz (rum, yuzu purée, pomegranate juice, white cranberry juice, and cloud swirl) or a Jet Juice (bourbon, chile liqueur, açaí liqueur, white grape juice, and lemon juice)? Maybe I'll get Jamie to order one and I'll get the other. SO MANY DELICIOUS LOOKING OPTIONS!
Also, I'm totally curious about Oga’s Obsession, which is lemonade, cotton candy flavor, and blueberry popping pearls with a bursting dried fruit mixture. I had a delicious drink during Lunar New Year that had popping pearls in it and I couldn't get enough of them!
Black Spire Outpost Market
For a snack on the go, we may swing by Ronto Roasters and pick up a Ronto Wrap to share… roasted pork and grilled sausage with peppercorn sauce and tangy slaw wrapped in pita. I'm 99% sure Max will want to order a Sour Sarlacc, because it features Minute Maid Limeade, raspberry, and spicy mango and he loves all things mango.
I'm looking forward to trying the Bantha Blue Milk, and was thrilled to learn that it's dairy-free (coconut and rice milk based) so I can have it without worry.
Kat Saka’s Kettle
Disney does such a great job with flavored popcorn, we can't wait to try the Outpost Popcorn Mix – colorful blend of sweet and spicy flavors, popped in coconut oil
And of course the usual Coca Cola products will be available, but in specialty containers that are only available at Galaxy's Edge!
