– Max learned how to do a somersault on his own today.
– When we're watching Monsters, Inc (his current fave!) the scene where the scarers are walking onto the scare floor, all Right Stuff style, one of their monster assistants says “They're SO awesome!” and that is officially the first movie line Max has memorized and says along with the screen.
– The gingerbread man cookies I bought at Target the other day are called “person cookies” because all food is referred to including shape or color.
– We have yellow cheese (cheddar) and white cheese (string), red salami and white turkey.
– All pasta is macaroni
– If he says “I have poops in my doops” there might still be time to get him on the toilet
– He doesn't want a sandwich, but if you offer him bread, cheese and turkey, he's a happy kid.
– He's got the sounds down for about 20 of the 26 letters, and has started putting “words” together (strings of letters that aren't necessarily actual words, but that doesn't matter) and sounding them out. He just walked up to me and said, “This says ha!” and lo and behold, he was right!
– He sang “Happy Birthday” along with the group at Brookie's birthday party yesterday, I just wish it was louder so everyone (or someone other than just me!) could have heard.

  1. Aww, this is the best part about having a blog … putting all these things down so you don't forget! I started a journal when my daughter was born, didn't last long.

I enjoyed your post, as I usually do.
