First things first, you should start playing Rio by Duran Duran, or at least hum it to yourself while you read.

OK, now where was I?
Oh, right.
The Kia Rio. (Her name is Rio and she dances in the sand…)

Jamie and I borrowed this sassy little car for review purposes, and Max just loves any chance to ride in different cars, so it was a great opportunity for us!

The 2014 Kia Rio is small in size, but not so much that you feel cramped or uncomfortable. (Keep in mind that I'm six feet tall and Max in a 5 point booster sits behind me in the car)

I think one of the coolest parts of the Rio is that while it starts at just $13,800 MSRP, it's loaded with all sorts of high tech features you'd normally find in a much more expensive car.
7664_1_2Push-button start, Bluetooth connectivity (and the UVO system allows complete phone functionality via the in-dash computer! So cool!), a 4-speaker sound system (You know, so you can rock out to “Rio” in your Rio), backup camera display… all sorts of great little touches that make this a great car for a gadget geek. (Ahem. Not that I'd know)

7671_1_2This is the second Kia I've had the chance to drive this year, and while if I was shopping for *me* I'd still go with the Sorento, but the Rio would be a good option for anyone with smaller car needs.

Disclosure: I was loaned the Kia Rio for a week, but I received no further compensation. All opinions, and the song now stuck in your word, are from me.
