He's trying to look at me through a Cheerio… in case you can't tell…

  1. If you're wondering, I did make those strawberry-jam Deviled eggs a few weeks ago. Not as good as regular ones IMHO. It's not that they were bad, more that they were … not what my mouth was expecting. Deviled eggs have only one taste, and strawberry cream cheese cake is not it.

Anyway, as I think you know Amber was diagnosed with strabismus and amblyopia last year, so now I'm hyper-aware of pictures of kids with eyes that aren't straight. I'm assuming that as a result of prematurity Max has had regular visits with a pediatric ophthalmologist, but if he hasn't then I highly recommend it and the sooner the better. Amber's eyes didn't seem to actively cross to me when I looked at her, but in stills when she was looking at something up close sometimes they did, like in this picture of Max. In the 3 months between when I first had a hint that something might not be right (at the pediatrician's office I might add, who told me everything was fine) to when I finally took her in to a professional, her eyes got noticeably worse. It might just be the angle of the photo, but I recommend getting his eyes checked by a professional if you have the chance.
