I just realized I haven't updated in a while!
I had surgery on Friday to put in my peritoneal dialysis catheter! Finally! Only about three more weeks and I'll be able to dialyze at home while I'm sleeping… I'm getting my evenings back!
Instead of four hours in the clinic 50 miles from home three times a week, I hook up to the machine every night and go to bed… I'm thrilled!
I do much better on PD compared to hemo; I feel better, I look better (there's weird skin things that go on with hemo), the tube comes out of my chest, my diet is less restricted… it's ALL good.
Three weeks can't come soon enough!
