Max is nine months old today… three quarters of a year old! Jamie and I can hardly believe how fast this year has gone!
At 9 months old, Max…
…weighs 15 lbs. 7 oz. (as of last Tuesday)
…eats 6 oz. of Neosure formula 5 times a day and usually takes an extra 2 oz a couple of times during the day
…isn't a huge fan of “real” food yet, but we're still trying! Up next, avocado!
…goes to bed at 8:30, wakes up around 7 and rarely wakes in the middle of the night
…takes 2 naps a day, usually about an hour, but sometimes he'll go for 2, which is awesome
…started at a new day care provider last week… it just got to be too much for a pregnant Auntie Katie!
…has discovered his toes and is constantly trying to get them into his mouth
…is constantly trying to get *everything* into his mouth
…loves his shaky (jittery? buzzy? vibrating?) elephant toy on his car seat and he just recently figured out how to pull it down and make it work
…is so happy in his Exersaucer! And just last night we clicked it up to the next level in height
…has really mastered rolling over! The last few mornings, we've found him on is tummy in his crib, and it's getting harder and harder to change his diaper, since he's always trying to roll away!
…can sit up on his own for a few seconds before he falls over; if he loses concentration he lands on his face, poor baby! We're making progress though! We practice this skill daily
…is a real blabbermouth! He's always “talking” and has something very important to say
…loves meeting new people! 9 times our of 10, a new person he meets is likely to get a huge grin
…is drooling *constantly* We don't think it's teething yet, but he makes buckets of drool and can saturate a bib in about 10 minutes. Grody.
…is starting to fit into 6 month sized clothes, and we can't cram him into the 3 month stuff anymore
…never fails to amaze us every day
Gorgeous photo of Max by my friend, Krista Lund… I'll be posting more for our shoot later this week!
He’s so cute! He’s getting so big!
When Jonah discovered rolling around during diaper changes we distracted him with our video iPod and played his video montage I made with his pictures. It worked for a while. I know, it’s bad to encourage the electronics thing, but it’s the only thing that worked – especially when he was fussy!
He is so cute and I am loving watching him grow up via the blog. Maybe one of these days I’ll be at PMP when you are showing him off and I will see him in person! It is amazing to think that less than a year ago he was in NICU.
Wow, such a teeny boy! Cutie pie!
I am so tickled to see today’s picture. That is one adorable face! You are truly blessed!
Max has come so far in his first nine months! He is a very handsome little man, he’s changing so much with every update. I know 15 pounds might seem “little” to some, but my post term son weighed 20 pounds at his one year check up. Max looks healthy, so happy for you and your entire family! Love that grin!
He is so adorable!
Just found your blog (2 peas) and have enjoyed reading it!
He’s getting so big!
The next five months will blow you away!! So much happens, it’s amazing.
Happy 3/4 Birthday Max!
Love,
Tania, Mike and Cole
He’s adorable.
so precious! thanks for leaving a comment, it is nice to know someone other than my mom checks it. we were at the Valley Fair mall. they have a great play place as long as you get there early. i know, they have great changing stations. who knew we would ever get so excited about something like that! love to the family!
Max continues to learn new things every day. It must be so fun to watch the little changes he experiences daily. He is one little miracle, that’s for sure!
