Valentine’s Day come early!

Jamie's a little unclear on the whole “We're-saving-our-money-for-the-wedding-so-we-aren't-buying-stuff-for-Valentine's-Day” thing.
But to be totally honest, I can't really complain!
He's been after me for a while to get a watch… in my line of work (he says) a nice watch is the kind of thing people notice and that I'm too old to be checking my cell phone for the time.
(My theory… he wants me to start wearing a watch so I have more excuse to flash my ring! Same hand and all! LOL)
Anyway, I had shown him the watch I had loved for a long time… retail price about $450 at my nearest Coach store. My beloved mom's blood runs strong in my body, and I could never justify the expense… that's more than my car payment! That's like 2 months of my car payment!
But, I've been wanting that watch for a long time.

SuperBowl Sunday, we're on our way up to Sacramento to see Dave and Ann Marie (and Ryan and Ashleigh!) and we stop at the outlets in Vacaville… Jamie wants a Hugo Boss suit for the wedding, but doesn't want to pay retail, so we're looking for a Hugo Boss outlet.
We find no HB, but we do find a Movado outlet! (Movado makes the Coach watches) We go in, just for giggles… I tell Jamie we aren't buying anything… and I see it.

Drool. Sigh. My watch.

Long story short, Jamie bought me the watch. BUT! Because it was the outlet, and becuase all Coach stuff was an additional 10% off that day, it was less than half price! Less than 40% of retail! Woo hoo!

So, now I'm sporting a gorgeous Coach watch on my “grown-up” wrist.

*sigh* Jamie's so good to me!
