December 29 – Defining Moment Describe a defining moment or series of events that has affected your life this year.

(I feel like I've answered this prompt a dozen times already.)

The series of events in 2010:

• Tim offers to be tested to give me a kidney (Seriously?)
• I have the application mailed to him directly from my transplant center, and block it out of my mind. (Don't want to dwell on the potential disappointment)
• I get a call that he's a good match, and that I need to get some updated testing. (EKG, Chest X-Ray, TB Test, blah blah blah)
• We schedule surgery for July 22 (OMG. OMG. OMG. OMG.)
• I get sick on July 6. (Happy freakin' birthday to me, right?)
• Transplant postponed for 9 weeks; we reschedule for Sept. 14 (6 weeks after finishing antibiotics)
• Surgery is a massive success! (WOO HOO! I gotta pee!)
• I spend 3 months at home, recovering (Love the time at home with Max)
• Life is good. (Every day is a gift)
