Phase One: Complete

My sister (and Faith)came over today and helped me clean out my closet… she made me be ruthless in my weeding out of stuff that isn't great.
Too big, too small, too short, too worn out… I got rid of FIVE bags of clothes!

Katie took quite a stash and we pulled some stuff for our mom, but there's still loads to donate to St. Vincent de Paul.

I got rid of shoes AND purses (even a Kate Spade that's past its prime! *sob*) and Katie had a blast reorganizing the cabinets in the closet… my purses have a home with shelves now (thanks to Jamie's mad building skills) and I still have a whole cabinet available for more stuff.

Jamie got motivated too, and got rid of two bags of stuff himself! He also took the opportunity to install a spare DVD player (don't get me started on that part! LOL) in the closet as well, so now I have somewhere to watch my chick flick DVDs when he doesn't want to watch.

I'm on a roll now; all of my clothes are clean and in their proper places.

Because we got rid of so much stuff, we have a spare bookshelf in our room! It's going to move into the dining room and I have a new home for cookbooks and other display pieces! Jamie's antique coffee grinders will make a whole lot more sense in the dining room than in our guest room! LOL

So that's the update for now… I'll have to take some pics to share.

Welcome, I'm so glad you're here! Thing number one, I'm tall. I've been told I should have a warning on my blog, so here it is! I am taller in real life than I appear on the internet.
