There are lots of kinds of mummies in the world, but none are quite as sweet as our mummy cheesecake! Deceptively simple to decorate, it just takes a couple of little details to take your dessert from plain to Halloween-themed! We love Halloween around here, so we always go all out on costumes for Max, but adding theme to your food is always a nice touch as well.

These single-serving sized treats can be made in as large a batch as you need, so your party is sure to be a hit!

Mummy Cheesecake Ingredients

For the crust:

  • Cooking spray
  • 1.5 cups Oreo cookie crumbs
  • 6 tbsps butter, melted
  • 3 tbsps granulated sugar

For the cream cheese filling:

  • 2 packs cream cheese, softened
  • ยฝ cup sour cream
  • ยฝ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 eggs

To decorate:

Making the Mummy Cheesecakes

Preheat oven to 325 degrees F.

Line a muffin tin with cupcake liners and spray with cooking spray. Set aside.

In a small bowl, combine Oreo crumbs, melted butter and sugar and mix.

Scoop about 1.5 tbsp of Oreo crumb mixture into each section of the muffin tin. Flatten with the back of a spoon, ensuring that itโ€™s packed and covers the entire bottom of the cupcake liner.

Bake 5 minutes.

In a large bowl, beat cream cheese, sour cream, sugar and eggs with an electric mixer. Beat until smooth.

Fill each section of the muffin tin with cream cheese mixture, pouring right on top of the Oreo crust base.

Bake for 20-22 minutes and allow to cool slightly.

Chill for at least 30 minutes.

Line a baking sheet with wax paper.

Remove the cupcake liners from the cheesecakes and place each one gently on the lined baking sheet.

In a bowl, microwave white candy melts in 30 second intervals until completely melted.

Pour candy melts into a piping bag. Using a back and forth motion, frost each cheesecake with strips of melted candy.

Place 2 eyes on each cheesecake to complete the โ€œmummy cheesecakeโ€ look! Serve and enjoy!
