Katie and I didn't grow up very close to our extended family… I'm not complaining, but it does make so incredibly thankful that she and I have agreed (and this has been in effect since we were about 8 and 10!) that we always want to live at least semi-close to each other… we want our kids to be friends, it's that simple.
I'll tell you, I can't imagine living far away from my gorgeous niece!
Since she was born (2 months 3 days ago) I've seen her at least once a week, usually more. I love that I can zip up and in less than and hour be with her, stinky butt, drooly face and all.
Katie and I hung her decorated name yesterday; the letters I made to help “girl-ify” her gender neutral room.
I think she likes it! (Contrary to the questionable look on her face! LOL)
