I love the crop of daily deals sites that have popped up in recent years; especially one of my favorites,Zulily.
They have great deals on gifts, but shipping can take ages. They have a system where they need a certain number of orders, and then they're able to get from wholesale and ship (or something)
Basically, it isn't unheard of for an order to take a month or more to arrive.
Luckily for me, I was paying attention over the summer when they got a big crop of Star Wars items!
I excitedly ordered a Star Wars bed tent for Max, remembering the bed tent my sister had when we were younger, and how much fun we had.
I placed my order over the summer, and it arrived in September. For Christmas.

Last night, while we were at dinner, a reminder popped up on my phone:
Ah ha! I'm totally going to use this in future years; those gifts that are so well stashed you forget where they are? A thing of the past! I'm already flashing back to the lost marble track set from last year that then got held to turn into a birthday present.
I had totally forgotten I'd set this reminder for myself, until it popped up last night. Said bed tent is now retrieved from garage, wrapped, and in the back of my closet, waiting for it's grand debut on Wednesday morning.
I know it's a little late for this year, but hopefully this will help down the road! ๐
That is a great idea!
