Home from my first BlogHer experience, and have just been processing for the last few days.
I came home and promptly turned around to go to a concert with Jamie, and then quickly fell asleep to wake up to deadline time at work, so I've been swamped busy for almost 2 weeks straight, with barely a moment to breathe!
But, *exhale* I'm working on it!
The question everyone I've been talking to for the last couple of days: “How was it?”
The short answer: “Amazing.”
The longer answer: “Interesting. Not what I expected, but not necessarily only in a bad way. There were highs and lows, but I had a fantastic time and met (and hugged and danced and drank and toasted and cried and laughed and walked and pedicabbed with) some incredible, inspiring women.
The longest answer: Will have to wait for another post, because I'm still working on that one.
But, two obvious highlights would be the TWO items I crossed off my Bucket List this weekend! (Disclaimer: One of them isn't currently on the published list; it wasn't really a “thing” when I first made the list in 2004, and now that #3, “See a shuttle launch life,” is a non-option, I've swapped it out. I'm OK with that, because it was TOTALLY worth it!)
So, what are the two?
Well, first off (although not chronologically) “#28 See my name/self on the Jumbotron”Jamie had gotten me tickets to the MUSE 2 concert for my birthday, and Wendy and Toby were able to help schmooze us up to the SIXTH row! Seriously! Bonnie Raitt and Jackson Browne were so close, I could have thrown stuff at them! Over the course of the evening, we found out later, I was shown on the big screen at least once, maybe more… Wendy was on it four times that we know of, and Jamie caught a glimpse of me. So that's cool, right?
And the second one, the replacement #3? Participate in a flash mob!
(Huge thanks to @JennyFeldon for sharing her video with me! It's the only one I show up in! LOL You see me enter at about 1:10, in a black cardi with a B & W striped top… I'm off to the left.)
I will absolutely write more on the amazingness that was #OperationGlory, but I wanted to share this ASAP! ๐
From what I can see you totally rocked it. All of you girls did! WOOT! It was great.
Excited to read more about what you thought of the conference…
I can't wait to hear more about it!!!!

Too cool, Lizz! I saw the flashmob from the front on SITS and had wondered if that was the one you were participating in at BlogHer. So glad Jenny shared a viewpoint that shares you! Good for you for checking off some fun Bucket List moments! :>:> Looking forward to your next BlogHer post!
