It can be really easy to get caught up in the yuck parts of this season… rainy commutes, getting home from work after dark… because I don't want to let the crud drag me down, I always try to do what I can to take advantage of the colder weather and occasional raging storm by saving some special activities for just such days.
There isn't much that makes me happier than a rainy day outside, nowhere to be, a hot cup of tea and a new book. I'll curl up on the couch and read, drinking my tea (with cookies, of course… I'm not crazy!)
On those days when lazy just isn't going to cut it, I bake. I love making cookies and candies and cakes and… ooh, now I'm getting hungry! I've got a whole Pinterest board of “Sweets for the Sweet” and it's chock full of beautiful sugary goodness I want to make, and probably will, this holiday season.
It's supposed to start getting chillier this weekend, and might even snow up in Grass Valley where we're spending Thanksgiving… Max has his cozy fleece jammies ready to go!
