Journaling Challenge

Create a LO (with a focus on journaling) that is inspired by the word “Renewal”

Journaling reads: “I can't believe I'm actually doing it. I really am. I'm taking those steps I've been talking about for *so* long. I'm terrified and exhilarated and nervous, but I know in my heart it's what I have to do. If this life of mine is going to do what it's meant to, this is what I need to do. I know I'm not the first person to start college at 30. (OK, four months from 30) but that doesn't make it any less scary!
Art school was fun. I painted pictures and made a mess and got graded on it. I didn't have to revisit the horrors of Algebra… I didn't write research papers on “The Basic Moral Values Man Must Live By in Order to Insure a Civilized Society” or anything like that.
Aaaack! I'm going to be surrounded by 18 year olds who were being born while I was riding the bus to Charlotte Wood! They're just kids!
My sister (perpetual student that she is) says she has always had someone in her classes who is *old* old… like older than our mom old. I think I need to find that person in my classes and befriend them. Make me feel more normal!
I can do this. OK, so I haven't taken a math or English class in 13 years… it's like riding a bike, right? RIGHT?! I'm doing what I need to. Next semester will be better… I'll take chemistry and physiology… I'll get to say “I'm in nursing school” and I'll speak authoritatively on the circulatory system and other such “nurse-y” stuff. I gotta take the good with the bad. I gotta take the Algebra with the Anatomy. I gotta take this first step.”

So in case you can't tell from that last layout, it's official. I'm a college student (again) Classes start on Monday! I'm just taking math and English this semester, to ease back into being a student, and then I start the “good stuff” this summer. Wish me luck!
