Because if it is, I’m completely crushing on Toyota.
It’s not because of the incredible hotel they put me up in,
or the cool cars they let us drive,
or the amazing women they surrounded me with, my fellow TWINs:
These things didn’t hurt, of course, but really, it’s about the company and what they do and what they stand for, that has me crushing on them so hard.
They asked us, a group of almost 30 women bloggers, for our opinions. On car shopping, car buying, anything we had to say about our cars (and we had a LOT to say!) they were there, listening, taking notes, making us feel like we were actually being *heard*
We learned that Toyota was green before green was cool. They recycle and compost at their factories; reducing their environmental footprints. Toyota has donated more than half a billion dollars to philanthropic causes since 1991. (One of my personal faves, the 100 Cars for Good program, was a subject of a post a couple of weeks back… it’s going until August 21… you can vote every day! Go vote now! I’ll wait.)
… Did you vote? Good.
I had an amazing time in LA, getting to talk directly with Toyota, meeting some new bloggy BFFs (Shout out to my dear Elena!), and of course, who can resist the lure of a gorgeous SoCal beach?
