I’m super duper uber crazy excited to see Beauty and the Beast on stage in San Francisco next week!
SHN invited me and a guest to check out the touring production next week, on opening night, and I can’t wait. While I love a Disney musical as much as the next girl, and Belle has long been one of my favorite princesses (second only to Leia, duh) there’s a very specific reason I’m so excited for this show…
I get to take my niece, Faith, to her very first real Broadway production! I’m thrilled my sister is giving this exciting first to me, and I can’t wait to surprise her next week with a girls night out.
SHN SF is the organization that brings Broadway to San Francisco. I’ve been a season ticket holder for years, but they also offer additional shows outside of the season. We saw Alton Brown last year, among other things, and now it’s all about Belle and her Beast.
Based on the 1991 Academy Award®-winning animated feature film and celebrating 21 years since its Broadway premiere in 1994, Disney’s Beauty and the Beast is the ninth longest running musical in Broadway history that has become an international sensation seen by over 35 million people worldwide in 22 countries, and translated into 9 different languages. This production has been seen by more than 3 million people while playing over 1,750 performances in all 50 United States and 8 Canadian Provinces.
The show runs June 29–July 10, 2016
